A functional thumb support designed for patients with osteoarthritis
aiKnit Thumbflex™ provides targeted support for the thumb. The adaptive, second-skin material responds to fluctuating symptoms, keeping your thumb comfortable and supported all day.
Technology
01
Regulated Motion Control
The aiKnit patch incorporates variable-stiffness structures with predetermined locking angles to guide joint motion safely. This design provides targeted mechanical support at vulnerable positions, while preserving natural movement across the joint’s functional range.
02
Anatomic Fit
Designed to follow the natural anatomy of the thumb, the aiKnit patch conforms precisely to the body’s contours. Strategic placement ensures targeted support exactly where it’s needed, without bulk or misalignment.
03
Second Skin Comfort
Lightweight, breathable, and flexible, the aiKnit patch is engineered for all-day wear. It feels like a second skin, adapting to changing joint tension and fluctuating symptoms, so you stay comfortable through work, hobbies, and daily activities - without irritation or pressure points.

At present, based on the information you provided, we use Webflow forms on the site. Webflow also provides website infrastructure and related hosting/services. Webflow offers a data processing addendum and describes itself as processing customer personal data on behalf of customers, which is relevant where form submissions are handled through its platform.

6. Our lawful bases for processing
Under UK data protection law, we must have a lawful basis for using your personal data. The lawful basis depends on the purpose.
Contact form and general enquiries
For names, email addresses, and message content submitted through our contact form, our lawful basis is legitimate interests. Our legitimate interests are communicating with people who contact us, responding to requests, and managing interest in aiKnit from talent, investors, collaborators, and other contacts. Legitimate interests can be used where the processing is necessary for a real business purpose and is balanced against the individual’s interests and rights.
Demo, talent, and investment enquiries
Where you contact us about working with us, learning more about our services, requesting a demo, or discussing investment, we rely on legitimate interests to review and respond to your enquiry.
In some cases, if your request is specifically about entering into a business relationship or taking steps before a contract, processing may also be necessary to take steps at your request before entering into a contract. The available lawful bases under UK GDPR include both contract and legitimate interests depending on the context.
Newsletter and marketing emails
Where you sign up for our newsletter, our lawful basis is consent. You can withdraw your consent at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link in our emails or by contacting us at sophie@ai-knit.com. The ICO states that where PECR requires consent, consent should also be the UK GDPR lawful basis for that processing.
7. Who we share personal data with
We do not sell your personal data.
We may share your personal data with trusted service providers who help us operate our website and communications, including:
- Webflow, which we use for website hosting and website forms; and

We may also disclose personal data:
- if required by law, regulation, court order, or a competent authority;
- to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims; or
- as part of a business transaction such as an investment, merger, acquisition, or reorganisation, where lawful and appropriate.
8. International transfers
We are based in the UK, but some of our service providers may process personal data outside the United Kingdom.
For example, Webflow publishes privacy and data processing terms that contemplate international processing and transfers in connection with its services. If we transfer personal data outside the UK, we will take steps to ensure that appropriate safeguards are in place as required by UK data protection law.
9. How long we keep personal data
We keep personal data only for as long as necessary for the purposes for which it was collected, including to satisfy legal, regulatory, tax, accounting, or reporting requirements. UK guidance expects organisations to state retention periods or the criteria used to determine them.
Unless a longer period is required or justified, we currently expect to keep:
- contact form enquiries: up to 12 months after the last meaningful contact;
- newsletter subscription data: until you unsubscribe, and for a limited period afterwards where necessary to maintain suppression records and demonstrate compliance;
- talent, demo, and investment enquiries: up to 24 mon
- ths after the last meaningful contact, where relevant to ongoing discussions or relationship management.
We may retain information for longer where necessary to comply with legal obligations or to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.

- request access to your personal data;
- request correction of inaccurate or incomplete personal data;
- request erasure of your personal data;
- request restriction of processing;
- object to processing carried out on the basis of legitimate interests;
- withdraw your consent at any time where we rely on consent; and
